ABOUT

We are an interior design studio rooted in bringing the feeling of home into every space we design, regardless if it's residential or commercial. Chelsea and Lissette met as friends and grew to business partners over their love of all things design and think they have the best job in the world. Together from the get-go, and better for it.

"I am in constant awe of their talent - their eye, their ability to see and solve a dilemma with ease. They are masters at mixing materials, textures, and patterns, while maintaining proportion. Best of all, they’re super responsive and communicative and simply a joy to work with. You won’t regret it."

Lissette Fernandez-Hilson, co-founder

Prior to co-founding THDS, Lissette led production and account management teams at companies like Facebook and Univision. During the ground-up construction of her own home, Lissette accidentally found her calling. Today, she channels her business know-how into what she's most passionate about: designing homes that enhance the lives lived inside. A Panama-born Army brat, Lissette's Puerto Rican roots and early introduction to diverse cultures is her most significant source of influence. Lisette eventually found her way to Northern California, where she lives with her husband and son. Now, no matter where she travels, she returns home to the Bay Area.

Chelsea Murawski, co-founder

Anyone could have predicted Chelsea's career in design. A Northern California native, Chelsea grew up with a father in real estate and an artist for a mother. As a child, she saw the transformation of countless homes, absorbing all she could about design and functionality. After graduating from college, Chelsea channeled her genetic creativity into landscape design and eventually, into designing furnishings and interiors for Anthropologie and Pottery Barn Kids. While creating spaces for the masses carried a certain appeal, Chelsea's passion has always been in the intimate details of creating something completely custom and entirely personal. Chelsea, along with her husband and two sons, continues to call the Bay Area home.
