Together Home Featured on The Haven List: A Redwood City Home Reimagined

We’re honored to share that one of our recent projects at Together Home was featured on The Haven List. The article highlights our renovation of a 1948 home in Redwood City, designed for a modern family with a deep commitment to sustainability and function.

Rebuilding with Purpose

This 4,000+ square foot home, with five bedrooms and five and a half baths, had remained untouched for over 75 years. We took it down to the studs, revitalizing both the interior and exterior while honoring the original structure.

Our renovation was guided by two clear constraints:

  • Stay within the home’s existing exterior walls

  • Preserve the best aspects of the original layout while improving the rest

A Sustainable Foundation

The family’s strong values around sustainability informed many of the material and system choices throughout the home, including:

  • Bamboo flooring

  • Locally sourced stone and tile

  • VOC-free paints

  • LED lighting

These upgrades support a more energy-efficient and environmentally responsible home, without compromising on design.

Designed for a Full Life

This home was created for a family of four with two young daughters, busy schedules, and a passion for hosting—from fundraisers to casual gatherings. The design needed to be as practical as it was beautiful.

With professional roots in Silicon Valley tech and civic leadership, the couple brought a forward-thinking vision to the project. Our role was to translate that vision into a home that’s functional, enduring, and reflective of their values.
